Agriculture have always been Dronology’s key interest. Especially in making Drones as a workforce for modern farming. We started back in 2013 with a small idea of using drones to spray Agricultural Input to paddy plantation. Also at that time, paddy industry had a massive shortage of workforce. It was a long shot back then, where drones are still considered a hobby or even toy. With years of trial and error. Dronology built our first autonomous spraying drone in 2015. We also knew that Drone alone is not a solution, we gonna need help of chemical manufacturers to come up with Ultra Low Volume Agricultural Input (ULV). We partnered with Agricultural Chemical Malaysia (ACM) Sdn Bhd to create all round solution for drone spray. Adoption of drone technology in agriculture is on the rise. Skeptics have now resigned to the fact that this is the future of agriculture in Malaysia. Chemical companies are also on board by formulating pesticides, herbicides and even fertilizers specifically for application by drones.

In 2017, we were given 3 hectares of paddy field in Bumbung Lima, Penang under
the Department of Agriculture to test our research findings. With our new
formulation for agriculture input, application methods and monitoring, we have
produces 17.25% more yield when compared to traditional process.
